
Once you know what is scary and have been taking steps to fight it, make a plan. The more extreme the action is compared to your fear, the better! Day Six: Make a plan to face your fear Or if you don’t like spiders, try holding one in your hand. If you’re scared of public speaking, then try attending a social event. You can either start by doing a small task or do the complete opposite of what you are scared of. Doing something that scares you might make you feel better. One way to overcome a fear is by gradually exposing yourself to it.

Day Five: Do something that goes against your fear Oftentimes, fear thrives in secrecy and when we keep our feelings hidden, it only makes them stronger. Sharing what it is that scares you can help reduce the power it has over you. This could be a friend, family member, therapist, or anyone else who will listen without judgment. Day Four: Talk about your fear with someone close to you But by identifying it, you are admitting how big of a problem it is in your life. This doesn’t mean that you have to face this fear right away. Now that you know your fears, it’s time to decide which one is the scariest. Day Three: Identify your biggest fear and focus on it But then nothing bad happens, my fear is gone. If there’s nothing out of the ordinary occurring due to your fears coming true, then why allow them to control you? For example, if a stranger bumps into me at a social event and I get scared of something terrible happening. After doing so, think about whether or not those consequences are still relevant now (i.e., has anything changed since then). Think back on some of your past experiences with this particular fear and remember how bad they were. Day Two: Think about the consequences of your fear was realized Doing this will help you to be more aware of what it is that frightens you so much. Once you have a list compiled, try sorting them into categories like “fear of the unknown,” “fears based on past experiences,” etc. This could be anything from spiders to public speaking. The first step is to identify what it is that you’re afraid of.

In this challenge, we will talk about different ways of overcoming fear and taking control of your life. And before you know it, that fear that used to hold you back will no longer have a grip on you. The more you push yourself, the easier it will become to face your fears. Or go to a social event where you know people. But instead of letting that happen, challenge yourself every day to do something out of the ordinary.

You can enjoy the fresh air and break free from feeling cooped up. Go for a Walk Outside: When was the last time that you went outside? If you have been inside for a long time, then now is a great time to go outside.You must take small steps to overcome your fear and build confidence along the way. You can’t expect yourself to go from being afraid of everything, one day, to not fearing anything the next.
